Project Uganda: Elpis Ministries International
H.O.P.E Uganda and Elpis Ministries is a ministry to children that can change a nation.
Elpis Ministries International is a non-profit organization that provides education, medical care, food, clothing and housing support for more than 100 children at the Hope Ministries Orphanage in Iganga, Uganda.
Mission Statement: To continually grow in intimacy with Christ, learning to be obedient to His Spirit, reflecting His presence to all we meet, in particular, the people of Uganda, so they too will seek after God with all their heart, find in Christ all they need, love their brother as Christ loved them and expand the Kingdom of God.
Starting August 11th, I will be fortunate enough to give of my time and skills for at least 3 months working with the children at the orphanage. The founder, Phil Jones, is a fellow Texan and our connection is dear to my heart as I was connected with Phil and his organization by my 72 year old grandfather.
Phil and his team work diligently to continually provide for the children of Hope Ministries Orphanage in Iganga, Uganda in the areas of education, Bible Study, medical attention, and any other needs of day to day life. On-going monthly needs are always in the following areas:
- Children’s Shoes
- Medical Supplies
- School Supplies
- School Uniforms
- Farming
- Scholarships
- Staff Support
- Food
- Transportation
With Elpis Ministries you can also sponsor a child. $35 a month provides a child with 3 meals a day, clothing appropriate for their age and season, shoes, medical care at a nearby clinic and covers their school fees so they can continue in their education. Your commitment also provides a picture for these children that they are NOT alone and that they matter enough to have someone on the other side of the world invest in them. Giving a donation to Elpis Ministries is also always welcome.
“Let us put our minds together and see what life we can make for the children.”
